For a long time I had this Richard Bach quote, "Here is the test to find whether your mission on Earth is finished: if you're alive, it isn't" on the top of the organizer / notebook which I carried with me everywhere in college. It reflected the fire in my belly to do something good, something big with my life - kept me focused on my organizational initiatives and entrepreneurship during college. Much later, I formalized my personal mission statement as part of a life-changing workshop by the Oasis Institute based on the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. This mission statement has been the driving force as well the north star of much that I have been doing in the last decade.
My Personal Mission Statement
My mission in my lifetime is to:
- Enjoy my family while ensuring the growth of self, my wife, child(ren) and family
- Be healthy, fit and active in sports till my last day
- Make Fountainhead a harbinger of change in the Indian Education system
- Be an agent of change and growth for all those around me
- Write and publish at least two books, which will help people to think for themselves
- Ensure that India becomes a well-governed nation with every Indian having access to basic services that every human deserves
- Will strive to make the whole world a happy, peaceful & sustainable place to live in
The values that I shall abide by during this process are:
- Integrity
- Passion / Enjoyment
- Excellence
- Quest for truth in all spheres of life:
- Perpetual Growth
- Fairness
- Ready to pay a price to help self and others grow

I hope this drive remains with you for the longest of time. A lot of this idealism is often lost once you enter young adulthood for most people. I am guessing those that keep it are some of the few who see success nd change in their lives.
